Participatory leadership and active citizenship and apprenticeship programme

Supporting young people to learn and practice action-oriented participatory and peaceful dialogue, awareness-based leadership and learning, and prototype community-driven green futures

This programme shares the latest approaches in the field of ecosystem awareness-based participatory leadership and citizen-lead changemaking as well as providing on the job opportunities to learn alongside esteemed mentors and active citizens working on issues such as waste management, water management, food systems, sustainable tourism and green development. Participants can choose from a range of engagement options depending on availability and location

30th October – 15th December – LEARN AND PRACTICE – 6 week residential learning programme including: (non-residential participation also possible)

MIT’ ULAB – global prototyping journey for the new “ecosystem economy” (video hyperlink here)
Art of participatory leadership training (5-7th November)
Mobile community journalism – Video volunteers training
Placemaking – an approach to community visioning building on authentic identity, community assets and strengths
Consent decision making
Hosting community and industry dialogues

15th January -15 June 2018 – 6-month apprenticeship in-house with a government department, business house, NGO or individual changemaker in the field of green development.
